The Department of Architecture (DIDA) is focused on developing itself as a scientific and educational community capable of interpreting and transforming contemporary complexity through design, in line with the University’s strategic plan and the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda.
The Department’s vision is based on the central role of the project, understood as a synthesis of humanistic, scientific, and technical components, and as a tool for innovation in cultural, social, and environmental systems. DIDA aims to consolidate its international standing and strengthen its ties to the local community by promoting strategic areas such as cultural heritage, design, fashion, and resilient planning.

The Department of Architecture recognizes the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as the guiding principle for its development policies. These goals represent a global challenge to balance human well-being with the protection of the planet, addressing issues ranging from combating climate change to reducing inequality.
