11th i-Rec student competition (IN)FORMALITIES

l Seminario Tematico "Architettura & Emergenza", promosso dai proff. Roberto Bologna, Maria Rita Gisotti e Leonardo Zaffi, dalla dott.ssa Maria Vittoria Arnetoli e dalla dottoranda Chiara Moretti, ha previsto la partecipazione all'11th Student Competition "(IN)FORMALITIES Coordinating Responses to Risk, Disasters, and Climate Change" indetto dalla rete i-Rec "Architecture, Planning and Design for Disaster Reduction and Reconstruction".  

I gruppi fiorentini sono stati premiati classificandosi al secondo e terzo posto con i progetti di seguito riportati con il giudizio della giuria: 

 

2nd Prize “Islands of Joy”

This proposal tackles coastal flooding in the Makoko settlement in the Lagos Lagoon, Nigeria. It features an attractively presented design with a strong contextual understanding and a clearly articulated problem. The originality of the design and the attention to stakeholders are consistent throughout the project. 

 

3rd Prize “From the fields to the sea, nature will run free”

A thoughtful proposal addressing post-war reconstruction in Gaza. It emphasizes vernacular housing and material reuse. The project demonstrates strong contextual awareness and a clear ethical commitment.
