The Executive Committee is a body of the Department which assists the Director and is responsible for all matters not expressly reserved for the Departmental Council.
The Departmental Executive Committee comprises the Director, who chairs it, five Professors and three Research Fellows, a representative of the technical and administrative staff, lecturers and expert language assistants, and two representatives of students, PhD students and research fellows, one of whom is elected by and from among the students, and the other elected by and from among the PhD students and research fellows who are members of the Departmental Council.
The Administrative Officer, who has an advisory role, also attends Executive Committee meetings.
Members of the Executive Committee serve a four-year term and may be re-elected only once in succession.
