Palazzo San Clemente

Via Micheli, 2 – Tel. 055 2756448
Via Micheli, 8

It houses the Library, various academic offices, the Cartography Laboratory (LCART), the Critical Planning and Design Laboratory (LCP&D), the CIST Research Centre (Inter-university Centre for Territorial Sciences), and the PROBIUR (Urban Bioregion Project) and PPcP (Landscape, Cultural Heritage, Design), and SUP&R (Urban Sustainability, Design and Research).

It is one of two buildings, alongside Palazzo Vegni, which was converted from a private residence into a university building from the 1960s onwards.

Construction of the building began in 1664 under the direction of Gherardo Silvani. The apartments in the casino, or Palazzo Tommaso Guadagni, were partly decorated, both on the ceilings and walls. The rooms housing the library are a case in point.
