- DIDA carries out research through its system of Research Units.
- Research Units are created with the purpose of ascribing value to specific disciplinary or interdisciplinary competences within the Department and between Departments. They coordinate research, knowledge transfer and innovation projects, both at the national and international levels.
- The creation of Research Units is determined by Departmental Councils.
- Ten Research Units are active at DIDA. Research has been carried out for local entities and the public administration, companies, service providers, and professional associations.
