A distanza di sessanta anni la Carta di Venezia per il restauro e la conservazione di monumenti e siti, che volle esprimere la necessità e l’urgenza di delineare principi condivisi nel campo della tutela del Patrimonio architettonico a livello internazionale creando le basi per un più ampio dialogo fra tutte le nazioni, rappresenta un fondamentale riferimento per una doverosa riflessione ed un confronto tanto sui temi e sui cambiamenti che ebbe a determinare quanto sulla relazione fra il tempo ed i modi della sua concezione e questo critico presente. Questo convegno internazionale propone una estesa e diversificata elaborazione di tematiche quali occasioni di aperta ed alta riflessione collettiva a partire al senso, dai contenuti, dallo straordinario impatto della Carta di Venezia nel mondo e nella cultura ed operatività per il Restauro, considerandone criticamente l’evoluzione, gli esiti teorici e pratici e la portata culturale nel tempo.
Le giornate del convegno si terranno presso la sede di Santa Teresa del Dipartimento di Architettura dell’Università degli Studi di Firenze il 25 e 26 ottobre 2024. Gli interventi selezionati tramite la presente call for papers saranno ospitati in un numero speciale della rivista di classe A «Restauro Archeologico» edito dalla casa editrice Firenze University Press FUP. Sono accettati interventi, in italiano, in inglese e francese (non è prevista la traduzione simultanea per le relazioni durante la conferenza e i relatori sono caldamente invitati a utilizzare la lingua inglese nelle diapositive delle loro presentazioni power point).

A seguito di interlocuzioni intervenute successivamente alla prima pubblicazione della call relativa al convegno, questo si è arricchito di una collaborazione scientifica con ICOMOS Italia ed ICOMOS International e di una nuova sezione dedicata a tematiche legate alla genesi dell’ICOMS stesso, sappiamo quanto strettamente legata a quella della Carta di Venezia, ed a suoi percorsi teorici ed operativi riferiti all’attualità.

ABSTRACT
Per partecipare al convegno è necessario inviare un abstract (italiano, francese o inglese).
L’abstract (max 2000 battute spazi compresi) dovrà contenere: titolo, nome dell’autore/i, struttura/ente di appartenenza, e-mail, da 3 a 5 parole chiave, e il “codice” identificativo del contributo (indicare la lettera inerente al nucleo tematico). Il nome e i dati di contatto di tutti gli autori devono essere presentati insieme all’abstract. Gli abstract e i contributi devono seguire i modelli forniti dall’organizzazione del convegno, disponibili su questo sito.
L’abstract dovrà essere inviato entro il 30 Ottobre 2023 in formato PDF a convegnocartavenezia[AT]dida.unifi.it
Il file dovrà essere nominato come segue:
Cognome del relatore, iniziale nome_numero nucleo tematico (A, B, C ...). Esempio: RossiA_B.pdf.
Entro il 30 Novembre 2023 verrà comunicata a coloro che hanno presentato l’abstract l’ammissione al convegno (gli abstract verranno esaminati dagli studiosi che costituiscono il Comitato Scientifico del convegno). Agli autori dei contributi scientifici selezionati verrà richiesto successivamente di inviare il testo esteso entro il 30 Gennaio 2024, da sottoporre a doppia revisione. Il comitato organizzatore si riserva di chiedere agli autori di apportare le modifiche/integrazioni eventualmente suggerite dai referee.

À soixante ans de la Charte de Venise sur la conservation et la restauration des monuments et des sites qui a voulu exprimer la nécessité et l’urgence de définir des principes partagés dans le domaine de la sauvegarde du Patrimoine architectural au niveau international en jetant les bases pour un plus vaste dialogue entre toutes les nations, cette dernière représente un repère fondamental pour réfléchir et se confronter comme il se doit sur les thèmes et les changements qu’elle a provoqués et d’autre part sur la relation entre l’époque de la Charte et ses modes de conception et ce présent critique. Ce congrès international propose une élaboration étendue et diversifiée de thèmes permettant de réfléchir collectivement et de façon ouverte sur le sens, les contenus et l’impact extraordinaire de la Charte de Venise dans le monde, et sur la culture et les modes de restauration, en analysant de façon critique son évolution, ses aboutissements théoriques et pratiques et son rayonnement culturel dans le temps.
Les journées du congrès se tiendront au siège Santa Teresa du Département d’Architecture de l’Université de Florence, les 25 et 26 octobre 2024. Les articles sélectionnés au moyen de cet appel à communications seront publiés dans un numéro spécial de la revue de classe A « Restauro Archeologico » de la maison d’édition Firenze University Press FUP. Les communications peuvent être rédigées en italien, en anglais et en français (la traduction simultanée n’est pas prévue pendant le congrès et les orateurs sont chaleureusement invités à utiliser l’anglais dans les diapositives de leurs présentations Power Point).

La session a pour but de recueillir des contributions relatives à la formation, la conception et la réalisation d’interventions de restauration ayant marqué la culture et la pratique de la conservation par rapport aux principes de la Charte et à leur actualisation.

Suite aux communications qui ont suivi la première annonce de la conférence,celle-ci s’est enrichie d’une collaboration scientifique avec l’ICOMOS Italie et l’ICOMOS International et d’une nouvelle section consacrée à des thèmes liés à la genèse de l’ICOMS elle-même, qui est, comme nous le savons bien, étroitement liée à celle de la Charte de Venise, et à ses parcours théoriques et opérationnels fortement conjoncturels.

ABSTRACT
Pour participer au congrès il est nécessaire d’envoyer un abstract (en italien, français ou anglais)
L’abstract (2000 caractères maximum espaces inclus) devra contenir : titre, nom de l’auteur/autrice, institution, e-mail, de 3 à 5 mots-clés, et le « code » identifiant de la communication (indiquer la lettre relatif à la thématique). Le nom et les coordonnées de tous les auteurs doivent être présentés en même temps que l’abstract. Les abstracts et les communications doivent se conformer aux modèles fournis par l’Organisation du congrès, disponible sur ce site.
L’abstract devra être envoyé au plus tard le 30 octobre 2023 au format PDF à convegnocartavenezia[AT]dida.unifi.it
Le fichier devra être nommé de la façon qui suit :
Nom de l’auteur, initiale prénom_numéro thématique (A, B, C…). Exemple RossiA_B.pdf.
L’admission au congrès sera communiquée, au plus tard le 30 novembre 2023, à ceux qui ont présenté l’abstract (ces derniers seront examinés par les experts membres du Comité scientifique du congrès). Les auteurs des communications scientifiques sélectionnées devront ensuite envoyer le texte in extenso au plus tard le 30 janvier 2024, à soumettre à une double révision. Le comité organisateur se réserve de demander aux auteurs d’apporter les modifications/intégrations suggérées éventuellement par les évaluateurs.

1964-2024 The Venice Charter. Theoretical reflections and operating practices in the restoration project.

Sixty years later the Venice Charter for the restoration and conservation of monuments and sites, whose aim was to express the urgent need to outline internationally shared principles for the protection of the architectural heritage, preparing the ground for a broader dialogue among all nations is a fundamental reference point for reflection and discussion on both the themes and the changes that it brought about and also on the connection between the time and the ways in which it was conceived and this critical present time. This international conference proposes an extensive and diversified elaboration of themes as opportunities for an open, high-level collective reflection based on the meaning, contents and extraordinary impact of the Venice Charter in the world and in the Restoration culture and operations, giving critical consideration to its development, theoretical and practical results and its cultural scope over time.
The conference sessions will be held in the Santa Teresa building at the Department of Architecture of Florence University on the 25th and 26th of October 2024. The presentations selected by means of this call for papers will be published in a special edition of the class A review, “Restauro Archeologico (Archaeological Restoration)”, edited by Firenze University Press FUP. Presentations in Italian, English and French are accepted (simultaneous interpretation will not be provided for presentations during the conference and speakers are kindly requested to use English for the slides in their PowerPoint presentations).

Following discussions after the first publication of the conference call, the conference was enriched with a scientific collaboration with ICOMOS Italy and ICOMOS International and a new section devoted to topics related to the genesis of ICOMOS itself, we know how closely it is linked to that of the Venice Charter, and to its theoretical and operational paths with reference to current events.

ABSTRACT
To participate in the conference, an abstract (Italian, French or English) must be sent.
The abstract (max 2000 characters including spaces) must contain: title, name of the author(s), department/organisation, e-mail, 3 to 5 keywords, and the contribution's identification "code" (indicate the letter inherent to the core theme). The name and contact details of all authors must be submitted together with the abstract. Abstracts and contributions must follow the templates provided by the conference organisation, available on this website.
Abstracts must be sent by 30 October 2023 in PDF format to convegnocartavenezi[AT]adida.unifi.it
The file should be named as follows:
Surname of the speaker, initial of first name_ core theme number (A, B, C...). Example: RossiA_B.pdf.
By 30 November 2023, those who have submitted abstracts will be notified of their admission to the conference (abstracts will be reviewed by the academics who make up the Scientific Committee of the conference). The authors of the selected scientific contributions will subsequently be asked to submit the full text by 30 January 2024, for a double review. The organising committee reserves the right to ask the authors to make any changes/additions suggested by the referees.
